![]() ![]() ![]() It doesn't help that the transformation devices used in Gekiranger, the Beast Henshin Claws, are integrated into the suits and referred to as "Battle Claws" in Jungle Fury. ![]() On the other hand, many dismissed the entire concept of the Solar Morphers after RJ used a more conventional morpher, and also because they didn't think sunglasses could be used as morphers. Broken Base: The Solar Morphers split the fans right down the middle- some thought that the sunglasses made sense as all of the Rangers do complicated martial arts sequences in their morph sequence, and sunglasses are as good a disguise, as, say Cell Phone morphers.Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The Masters' Half-Human Hybrid forms in the finale, which happen to be the Seven Kensei from Gekiranger. The jungle-themed background music, which is heavy on the African drums, has some East Asian music mixed in, to match the show's kung-fu motif. It helps that this is the first Power Rangers theme in a very long time to actually have harmony. Anticlimax Boss: Dai Shi (the real one) doesn't get that much time to fight the Rangers, as the first half of his master plan is to resurrect all his fallen generals. So how much of Dai Shi possessing Jarrod is actually Dai Shi, and how much is actually Jarrod is up for debate. Despite this though, Dai Shi possessing Jarrod still expresses familiarity towards his former generals, and follows an honor code of Might Makes Right unlike Jarrod, yet Carnisoar plays on Jarrod's memories of being bullied to try and toughen him up. While possessing Jarrod, he shows noticeable kindness and favoritism towards her, though later Jarrod says that he is the one who cares for Camille, not Dai Shi. One point towards this idea is how he treats Camille. Alternate Character Interpretation: While it's easy to see Dai Shi as simply controlling Jarrod's body after possessing him, its ambiguous how much of his appearances is him controlling Jarrod, or rather him simply influencing Jarrod and bringing out his more negative qualities. ![]()
